Danny Clark & Jay Benham Ft. Nica Brooke
Giving Only
After flying up the Traxsource
Singles Chart to the No.3 spot last month with Call It Done, Danny & Jay drop their 4th release on Solid Ground
Recordings, this time featuring the vocals of one of the hottest talents in soulful house - Nica Brooke.
"With only three releases out, Solid Ground Recordings has become a household name everywhere.
And release #4 will surely assure their position as one of the leading labels for soulful house music. "Giving only"
features haunting vocals of the highly talented Nica Brooke alongside galactic keys and synths over a deeper than
deep groove. The 'Peaktime Mix' is an electronic rework destined to cause a stir on the dance floor, while Marlon
D contributes an infectious underground flavored remix featuring glorious piano and lush chords. AtJazz adds
his unique deep tech-soul vibe to the track, with his dub being on a dubby spaced-out tip. Thomas Toccafondi's
fiercely thumpin' rework featuring impulsive synths completes the package." Mike Fossati www.spiritofhouse.com/
Supported by Groove Assassin, Tony Humphries, Andy Ward and Osunlade, Giving Only is now available to

Hot on the heels of their recent international floor-filler, Into
You, the lads from Solid Ground are back with their third offering, and this one looks set to be a Summer sizzler!
"What can we say... this label is getting stronger and stronger with every release...
For the third release on their own Solid Ground label, Danny Clark and Jay Benham team up with Chicago diva Andrea Love to
present the uplifting anthem "Call it done" that is guaranteed to bring the sun to your heart. The original is a
timeless Disco-Funk infused jewel oozing with soulful vibes from beginning to the end, taken to deepest grounds on the relentless
'Deepah Mix' fueled with luscious melodies. The remixes are courtesy of Ralf GUM who blesses us with a slick Disco
drenched workout that is truly infectious, followed by Doruk Ozlen whose laidback interpretation features gentle keys and
exquisite guitar. Finally, Souldynamic twist the track into a remorseless peak time favourite laced with cheeky keys and a
killer organ ride." Mike Fossati www.spiritofhouse.com/

DJ Mannix reviews Danny
Clark & Jay Benham Ft Carla Prather
Into You
for
TilLate Magazine
"It certainly doesn’t make life much easier
when you have to carry on after a big first release but UK dons Danny Clark and Jay Benham have taken their time to follow
up the rather huge Alix Alvarez mixed Traxsource chart topping ‘Conqueror’ with an equally strong second offering
on their very own Solid Ground record label. This time another classic house diva takes over the mic, Carla Prather, who you
might know from her previous collabs with Lenny Fontana. The Original is a soulful masterpiece in the making, great chords
match perfectly with Carla’s vocal, a deep, pounding bassline and emotive synths. The remix lineup looks like the crème
de la crème of House, as we can find two uplifting, funky, soulful offerings courtesy of the Muthafunkaz, a great stripped
down mix from Alex Finkin & Reverend P. and an organ driven peaktime bomb from Ray Jones. As if that wasn’t enough
you get a Dub and a Raw Mix as a bonus on top of that all. Expectations are high and that’s nothing but right. Massive! 10/10"

Danny Clark & Jay Benham Ft. Carla Prather Into
You
"It is hard to live up to expectations after having a world wide club
hit such as "Conqueror", but Danny Clark and Jay Benham surely do not disappoint with their follow up - quite the
contrary - they impress and amaze us with "Into you", which features deeply felt vocals by the one and only Carla
Prather.
The Original mix exudes phat keys and chords over a relentlessly thumpin' backing. DJ Spen &
The MuthaFunkaz inject the track with their trademark smooth Baltimore house vibe, while Alex Finkin & Reverend P's
organic interpretation features delicious instrumentation. For a hypnotic underground workout look no further than the Ray
Jones remix. The package is completed with a 'Dub Mix', 'Raw Mix' and the beautiful piano-pella called 'Ivory
Mix' by Danny & Jay."
Available from Wednesday 24th February on digital download from www.traxsource.com
and to buy on vinyl from all good record stores, or direct from
PrimeDirect.co.uk from Monday 22nd February.

Out Now:
Danny Clark & Jay Benham Ft. Dawn Tallman Conqueror

"This is the first release on the label and there are no holds barred as a stellar cast have been brought
together for this project. Danny and Jay were the men behind last year’s aptly named “Wondrous” with Su
Su Bobien, and fans of that release are set to be equally delighted with “Conqueror”. Dawn Tallman on vocals needs
little or no introduction, having featured on some of the best known labels all over the world since her debut back in 1994.
The package includes remixes from producers at the very top of their game in the shape of Alix Alvarez, Frankie Feliciano,
Guy Robin, not to mention two further mixes from Jay and Danny. Every time I think I’ve picked out a favourite mix,
one of the other mixes grabs my attention again and I’m back to square one. This is soulful house music of the very
highest calibre and a wonderful way to get the label off the ground, (no pun intended)."
Dean Serafini
"'Wondrous',
Danny Clark & Jay Benham's debut as a production duo, took the dance floors by storm last year and has been a favourite
with many DJ's to this day. Now they are about to launch their own label Solid Ground Recordings, and the first release
on the label is nothing less than a masterpiece. On 'Conqueror', Danny & Jay
team up with the one and only Dawn Tallman who contributes an outstanding heartfelt vocal on the funk-soaked, fierce yet smooth
production that oozes with jazzy piano and marvellous organs. Alix Alvarez reworks the track into a deep, remorselessly thumpin'
affair featuring lush keys and chords, while Frankie Feliciano delivers a relentless bouncy version full of delicious melodies
and killer jazzy keys. Next you have the organic, jazz-funk fuelled interpretation by Guy Robin, followed by the deep infectious
late night 'ReVamp Dub Mix'." Mike Fossati
